Description
:
I started modelling some clay, had (lots of) plaster moulds of it, and then cast it with plaster (yeah, same stuff for moulds and statue... and rigid. It's been a real mess to get it done, now I would look for other materials).
I called her Dolcemuta, which you can translate "Sweetmute". Don't know where this name came from, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that she hasn't ears. It simply happened that while I was making her, she started being Dolcemuta in my mind.
In the beginning, I thought of her as sort of an albino, in the middle between being a sculpture and being a very pale creature. Then I felt that she was a statue *becoming* a creature.
The eyes should have been normal albino's eyes, but then I just put some red on their whole surface, and looking at her, well, I realized that those were her eyes. All red, with some smudges on the edge.
To make everything more convincing, I put some glossy varnish on her teeth and eyes.
